... MORE THAN 20 YEARS OFFERING VALUE SERVICES TO TRANSPORTATION

ATRAM GESTION 2007, S.L. The company has its own Training Center that meets the requirements imposed by the regulations governing the initial qualification and ongoing training of drivers of road transport vehicles. We are authorized by the competent regional body to teach the required approved driver training courses in our own classrooms.

Today, having the corresponding driver's license is not enough; professional drivers must also have the CAP (Certificate of Professional Aptitude) to be able to drive legally. The purpose of the CAP is to professionalize the driving profession, since obtaining a driver's license for buses or trucks, according to current requirements, only certifies that a person knows how to operate a vehicle and understands the basic traffic rules. However, being a good Professional Driver requires much more knowledge, which is why the CAP was created.

There are two types of CAP courses:
1) Initial training, which must be taken by drivers who obtain their driver's license after the CAP came into effect: 11/09/2008 (passenger transport) and 11/09/2009 (freight transport). Accelerated CAP initial training courses consist of 130 hours of theory and 10 hours of practical training. These courses are in-person and required attendance. CAP initial training courses include an associated 100-question exam, which must be passed to obtain the professional driver's license (also known as the CAP).
2) Continuing or renewal training, which all professional drivers must take every five years throughout their professional career. They consist of 35 hours of theory, with no mandatory practice and no exam. These courses are also in-person and required attendance. Taking a continuing training course allows you to renew both your bus and truck CAP.

Bus drivers who are exempt from CAP initial training because they held the corresponding license before the CAP came into force must complete continuing training based on the following dates and the last digit of their ID:

  • Years ending in 1 or 2 before September 10, 2011
  • Years ending in 3 or 4 before September 10, 2012
  • Years ending in 5 or 6 before September 10, 2013
  • Years ending in 7 or 8 before September 10, 2014
  • Years ending in 9 or 0 before September 10, 2015

Truck or trailer drivers who are exempt from CAP initial training because they held the corresponding license before the CAP came into force must complete continuing training based on the following dates and the last digit of their ID:

  • Years ending in 1 or 2 before September 10, 2015 2012
  • Completed in grade 3 or 4 before September 10, 2013
  • Completed in grade 5 or 6 before September 10, 2014
  • Completed in grade 7 or 8 before September 10, 2015
